A table showing usual language development of a person's first language from birth to KS4. Breaks down the typical development into Understanding, Expression, Speech and Social. If using with EAL children, establish the typical development in their home language; if normal pattern, English should be obtained fairly easily. If home language delayed, there will be a delay in learning English. Very useful also for EYFS.

Reward chart to be used to record behaviour throughout the day. I have always given a stick if a child gets 5 smiley faces out of 8. Good for pinpointing trends in behaviour (times/lessons etc)

Termly assessment of phonemes and graphemes known. Using a different colour each assessment, I draw a semi-circle above for phoneme known and underneath for grapheme known. Listed in order of teaching from Phases 2 and 3 of Letters and Sounds phonic teaching materials.
